Mataram, Indonesia – On January 21, 2025, the University of Mataram (UNRAM) held a productive virtual meeting with Arizona State University (ASU) via Zoom, attended by Mahacita Andanalusia as a coordinator in the Office of International Affairs (OIA), Arifin Aria Bakti, a senior lecturer in Soil Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, two lecturers representing the Soil Science program, and Datu Buyung Agusdinata as the representative from ASU. This discussion marks a significant step toward strengthening international partnerships in research and student exchange programs.

Key points of the discussion included:

  1. Research Collaboration: ASU and UNRAM agreed to initiate joint research programs. As part of this initiative, four students from ASU are expected to visit UNRAM in June and July 2025 to engage in collaborative research projects with their Indonesian counterparts.
  2. Student Exchange Programs: Both universities expressed their commitment to promoting student mobility. This collaboration will provide students from both institutions with the opportunity to broaden their academic and cultural experiences.

This partnership aligns with UNRAM’s mission to expand its global network and provide its students and faculty with access to international learning opportunities.
