Mataram, July 23, 2024 – University of Mataram (Unram) is delighted to announce the successful participation of ten of its distinguished students in the recently concluded Asian Undergraduate Symposium at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Held from July 1st to July13th, 2024, this prestigious event provided a dynamic platform for young scholars from across Asia to engage in collaborative learning and exchange innovative ideas.
Throughout the symposium, Unram delegates actively participated in a series of enriching activities designed to broaden their academic and cultural experience. The event featured interactive workshops that challenged students to address global issues, including sustainability, technological innovation, and social entrepreneurship. Mataram– July 1, 2024 – The University of Mataram has officially concluded its Mandarin class program, which was conducted by two distinguished lecturers from Shangrao Normal University, China. This initiative was part of a collaborative effort resulting from a previously signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the institutions, which also led to the establishment of a Mandarin Center at the University of Mataram.
The Mandarin class was conducted in tourism study program and led by lecturers Zhu Xiao and Yu Chunying. Despite initial challenges, students demonstrated significant interest and enthusiasm in learning Mandarin. The program featured a series of online seminars with presenters from the University of Mataram, Shangrao Normal University, and Beijing University. These seminars focused on research themes in the tourism sector, particularly rural tourism.
