Mataram, January 19, 2026 — The Office of International Affairs (OIA) of the University of Mataram (UNRAM) officially received a visit from the Central Office of the National Intelligence Agency (Badan Intelijen Negara/BIN) on Monday, January 19, 2026.

The visit was conducted as part of BIN’s efforts to strengthen coordination with higher education institutions, particularly in relation to the supervision and monitoring of international students and foreign partners at the University of Mataram.

During the meeting, the BIN team and OIA UNRAM discussed various strategic matters, including mechanisms for overseeing international students’ activities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and enhancing coordination related to foreign institutional partnerships established by UNRAM. The discussion also emphasized the importance of maintaining national security while fostering a safe, inclusive, and conducive academic environment for international cooperation.
