Mataram, March 8, 2025 – Dr. Dewi Satria Elmiana, Vice Head of the International Office at Universitas Mataram (UNRAM), was invited as a guest professor in a virtual lecture hosted by Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) in the Philippines on March 8, 2025. The session focused on policy, governance, and leadership in education, engaging PhD in Development Education students and faculty members in a thought-provoking discussion.
An expert in education governance and institutional leadership, Dr. Dewi provided valuable insights into the complexities of educational policies, government structures, and leadership models. The session was conducted under the class of Dr. Claire Anne A. Olivares, Dean of the College of Education, and facilitated by Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel, Director of Student Placement, alongside Dr. Benny S. Soliman, Director of External Linkages and International Affairs.
The lecture explored global and local policies influencing development education, institutional governance frameworks in higher education, and best practices in leading development education programs. Students and faculty engaged in a meaningful dialogue, addressing the challenges in policy implementation and leadership strategies for educational reform.
