Mataram, June 28, 2024 – University of Mataram (Unram) proudly announces the send-off of 10 exceptional students who will represent the university at the prestigious Asian Undergraduate Symposium, held at the National University of Singapore (NUS) from July 10 to July 24, 2024. This significant event gathers bright minds from across Asia to engage in scholarly discussions, present research, and foster cross-cultural academic collaboration.

The Asian Undergraduate Symposium at NUS is an annual event that brings together undergraduate students from diverse academic disciplines across Asia. Participants present their research findings, engage in academic discourse, and collaborate on innovative projects. The symposium aims to promote intellectual exchange, enhance research skills, and build a network of future leaders and scholars.

The symposium’s programme spans two weeks, aiming to provide a progressive development of knowledge, competencies, and skills. Participants will implement their proposed solutions over the following three months. Key activities include:

  • Expert Panels and Practitioners in Action: Delving into subthemes with insights from leading experts and observing real-world applications during learning journeys.
  • Networking and Team Formation: Networking with peers to form cross-national teams and collaboratively craft project proposals.
  • Project Ideation and Proposal Writing: Each team is supported by an academic mentor and trained student councillors throughout the ideation and proposal writing phases.

During the two-week symposium, participants will engage in a variety of activities including:

  • Research Presentations: Students will present their research projects and receive feedback from peers and experts in their fields.
  • Workshops and Seminars: Interactive sessions led by renowned scholars and industry professionals.
  • Panel Discussions: Debates and discussions on current global and regional issues.
  • Cultural Exchange: Activities designed to promote cultural understanding and collaboration among participants from different countries.
