Mataram, February 5, 2025 – The University of Mataram (UNRAM) has officially extended its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), Philippines, reinforcing the successful collaboration between the two institutions. The signing ceremony was held in a hybrid format, attended by distinguished representatives from both universities.

Present at the event from the University of Mataram were the Rector, Prof. Bambang Hari Kusumo, the Vice Head of the Office of International Affairs (OIA), and several deans. Joining virtually from CBSUA were SUC President IV, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, DPA; Vice President for Business and External Affairs, Dr. Cesar Armando S. Camba, Jr.; Vice President for Research and Innovation, Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Emerson L. Bergonio; and Vice President for Administration and Finance, Atty. Dominador F. Faurillo.

The decision to extend the MoU reflects the remarkable achievements of the partnership, particularly with the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at UNRAM. The collaboration has successfully fostered joint academic programs, student exchange initiatives, and other academic engagements that have enriched both institutions.

CBSUA representatives also expressed their enthusiasm for continuing this collaboration, highlighting the shared vision of enhancing academic quality and global engagement.

The extended MoU paves the way for more collaborative programs, including research partnerships, faculty exchange, and expanded opportunities for student mobility between the two institutions. In the future, both universities plan to establish a joint degree program, further deepening their academic cooperation and offering students a unique international learning experience.

This milestone marks another step forward in UNRAM’s dedication to internationalization, ensuring that students and faculty members benefit from global academic exposure and collaborative learning experiences.
