Tarlac, Philippines – On December 12, 2024, the University of Mataram (Unram) officially renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), Philippines. This agreement continues a collaboration that was first established in 2018, marking a significant milestone in the partnership between the two institutions.
The MoU signing ceremony took place during the 2nd International SDGs Boot Camp hosted by Tarlac Agricultural University, where Unram also sent two delegates to participate in the event. The renewed MoU emphasizes strengthening academic and research cooperation, including student and staff exchanges, joint research initiatives, and collaborative projects that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Since the initial partnership in 2018, Unram and TAU have successfully implemented various programs. One notable example is the SEA Teacher Program (Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia), where students from Unram’s Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) gained international teaching experience by participating in a school exchange program in the Philippines. This initiative not only enhanced their pedagogical skills but also fostered intercultural understanding and professional growth.
The renewal of this MoU reflects both institutions’ commitment to advancing education and global cooperation. Moving forward, Unram and TAU aim to expand the scope of their collaboration to benefit students, faculty members, and the broader academic community.
