Mataram, Indonesia – April 2, 2026 — The Office of International Affairs (OIA) of University of Mataram successfully conducted an online meeting with international students from CESI École d’Ingénieurs who are set to participate in an internship program across several study programs at the university.
This marks the second consecutive year that the University of Mataram has been selected as a host institution for CESI students undertaking academic internships. The program is designed as a project-based internship, where students collaborate closely with faculty members within each respective study program to carry out specific research or applied projects.
The growing interest in the program reflects its success and impact. In the previous year, the University of Mataram welcomed five international students from CESI for a four-month internship period. This year, the number has significantly increased to thirteen students, demonstrating strengthened academic collaboration between the two institutions.
During the online meeting session, Rusdi Bastian Ilham, M.Sc., Coordinator of Public Relations at OIA, delivered a comprehensive pre-departure briefing to the incoming students. The session aimed to equip participants with essential information regarding academic activities, cultural adaptation, and practical preparations prior to their arrival in Mataram.
Through this initiative, the University of Mataram continues to reinforce its commitment to fostering international partnerships, promoting cross-cultural exchange, and enhancing global academic engagement.
