Mataram– July 1, 2024 – The University of Mataram has officially concluded its Mandarin class program, which was conducted by two distinguished lecturers from Shangrao Normal University, China. This initiative was part of a collaborative effort resulting from a previously signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the institutions, which also led to the establishment of a Mandarin Center at the University of Mataram.

The Mandarin class was conducted in tourism study program and was led by lecturers Zhu Xiao and Yu Chunying. Despite initial challenges, students demonstrated significant interest and enthusiasm in learning Mandarin. The program featured a series of online seminars with presenters from the University of Mataram, Shangrao Normal University, and Beijing University.
