MATARAM – University of Mataram hosted a significant discussion on collaboration with the Consulate General of Australia in Bali on June 6, 2024. The event, held at Ruang Sidang Rektor, Gedung Rektorat University of Mataram, was marked by the presence of three esteemed representatives from the Consulate: Ibu Emily, Ibu Jo Stevens, and Ibu Emilia.
Prof. Bambang Hari Kusumo, Rector of the University of Mataram, extended a warm welcome to the delegates. In his opening remarks, he stated, “Welcome to the University of Mataram. We are excited about the potential of formalizing our partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Consulate General of Australia in Bali. This collaboration holds great promise for both our institutions.”
During the discussion, Prof. Bambang emphasized the mutual benefits of establishing a joint working group between the two countries. “We hope that through this collaboration, we can facilitate joint initiatives that enhance educational and cultural exchanges. Furthermore, we envision that students will gain access to a major university’s journal in Australia through the Aussie Banget Corner (ABC) at our library,” he added.
Following the discussions, the representatives from the Consulate General visited the Aussie Banget Corner located in the University of Mataram Library. This visit underscored the importance of educational resources and the potential for further collaborative projects.
The event highlighted the strong commitment of both institutions to foster educational ties and promote cultural understanding between Indonesia and Australia. The University of Mataram looks forward to the fruitful outcomes of this collaboration, enhancing opportunities for students and academic communities in both countries.
