The University of Mataram (UNRAM) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Economics and Finance (UEF), Vietnam, on 3 August 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The agreement marks a significant milestone in expanding UNRAM’s international partnerships and strengthening academic collaboration across Southeast Asia.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr. Sitti Latifah, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems of the University of Mataram, and Dr. Nhan Cam Tri, Vice Rector of UEF, during the official visit of the University of Mataram delegation to UEF. The UNRAM delegation was led by Dr. Sitti Latifah and accompanied by Prof. Dr. Embun Suryani, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Economics and Business.
During the meeting, both universities introduced their institutional profiles, internationalization strategies, and academic strengths while exploring various opportunities for future collaboration. Dr. Sitti Latifah highlighted the University of Mataram’s academic excellence, international programs, and commitment to expanding global engagement through strategic partnerships. The discussions reflected a shared vision to advance international education, research, and innovation while creating broader opportunities for students and academics from both institutions.
The newly signed MoU establishes a framework for collaboration in a wide range of academic activities, including student and faculty exchanges, international internships, joint research, collaborative publications, online collaborative learning, curriculum development, international semester programs, and the co-organization of international conferences and academic events. Both universities also discussed the potential development of joint degree and double degree programs, as well as initiatives that promote community engagement and strengthen research capacity.
This partnership reflects the University of Mataram’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of higher education through meaningful international collaboration.
